Congrats Helena, MSc. !

On July 22, Helena Olraun, master's student and intern in the lab under the supervision of Floortje and Hanneke, successfully defended her Master thesis “Deciding how to decide: Dopaminergic mechanisms of meta decision-making”. In her thesis, she presented the results of two projects: a behavioural study investigating a novel task design to uncover mechanism and individual differences in the effect of the average reward rate on cognitive effort exertion and a double-blind, within-subject pharmacology project using the same task targeted at unveiling the neural basis of these meta decision-making processes. With the completion of her thesis, Helena graduates cum laude from the Cognitive Neuroscience Master at Radboud University.

We were delighted to have had Helena as a member of our lab during the last year and we are excited to announce that she will stay at the Donders Institute, as she will join the group of Roshan Cools as a research assistant. Additionally, Helena will continue to support the LDM lab as a lab manager for the upcoming months.

We wish her all the best for her future!
