Congrats Solenn, MSc. !

On August 28, Solenn Walstra, master’s student and intern in the lab supervised by Soha and Hanneke, successfully defended her Master thesis “Disentangling the neuromodulatory effects of transcranial ultrasonic stimulation of the frontal eye fields in humans.” In her thesis, she presents the results of a study on the influence of a TUS protocol targeting the frontal eye field on choice behaviour in humans. Together with the study comprising of three parts, including two double-blind within-subject sessions and a methodology combination of TUS with fMRI, MRS, neuronavigation, and eye-tracking, Solenn aimed to disentangle excitatory, inhibitory, and perturbatory neuromodulatory effects. With the completion of her thesis, Solenn graduates cum laude from the Cognitive Neuroscience Master at Radboud University.

We were delighted to have Solenn as part of our lab and are sad to see her go. We wish her all the best for her future!
